Travelex Enhances Customer Service and Sales Staff Efficiency with Vettro
Mobile CRM Manages Real-Time Information for
World's Largest Foreign Exchange Specialist
READING, UK – 13 August, 2007 – Vettro, a global leader in
mobile on-demand business applications, today announced the
sales staff of Travel ex, the world's largest foreign exchange
specialist, is using mobile applications from Vettro with the
BlackBerry® solution from Research In Motion (RIM ) (Nasdaq:
RIMM; TSX: RIM) to enhance customer service through real-time
business operations. With Vettro 360 for Sales & CRM ,
Travel ex synchronises its current Salesforce.com application
with its existing BlackBerry smartphones, maximising the effectiveness
of sales operations and performance in the field. The Vettro
implementation enables Travel ex's sales force to access and
react to real-time account information while on the road.
Financially successful foreign exchange services depend upon
sales representatives increasing and sustaining the volume
of transactions. Access to real-time information is important,
and sales representatives can now take action on accounts within
minutes to avoid delays and have customers conducting transactions
within the fastest timeframe possible, as opposed to spending
hours logging account updates at the end of each day or scheduling
an administrative non-selling day at the office. The sales
representative can immediately see the last action taken on
any account and proceed accordingly. Previously, sales personnel
had to contact the call center to receive customer information,
which was time consuming and created more burdens on the call
center staff. Fully deployed since March 2006, Travelex's sales
and account management employees are trained to use the application.
“Our sales team benefits from using Vettro 360 because they're
able to access their client and lead information from their
BlackBerry smartphones while on the road,” said Hannah Cleaver,
Salesforce.com Manager for EMEA, Travel ex. “Because
sales people can log a call or open a case on the road, that
means they're not calling the call centre to gather the information
they need for a client meeting. They can now enter feedback
directly after a meeting instead of logging in at the end of
a long day.”
Vettro 360 for Sales & CRM integrates seamlessly
with the capabilities of BlackBerry smartphones and allows
users to easily save emails or phone calls as sales activities
and synchronise their CRM tasks with Outlook or Lotus Notes
calendars.
“Vettro has a long history of delivering powerful applications
on the BlackBerry platform for field sales and services organisations,” said
Jeff McDowell, Vice President, Global Alliances at Research
In Motion. “This deployment is a great example of how Vettro
can help organisations enhance productivity and derive additional
value from their investments in the BlackBerry platform.”
The application is optimised for the needs of sales reps and
managers on the go by allowing them to interact with information
residing in single or multiple back office systems from a single,
unified mobile application. It can be updated, and even deleted,
completely over the wireless network, minimising the administrative
costs required to maintain a mobile application. Additionally,
the application remains fully accessible outside of wireless
coverage areas, and all data captured offline is automatically
transmitted when the user moves back into coverage.
"It is extremely important for us to deliver tools and
services designed to improve the performance of the mobile
worker,” said Joe Rymsza, President and CEO of Vettro. “Travelex
understands that its growing workforce deserves solutions built
around their unique real-time requirements rather than the
conventional enterprise extensions available today.”
