Clemson University Wins Mobile Enterprise Magazine Award

Deployment of Vettro Mobile Service & Repair Applications Yields Recognition for Enhancing Facilities Management Service Level and Efficiency

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vettro(www.vettro.com), the global leader in mobile on-demand business applications, today announced that Clemson University has been awarded the Honorable Mention Mobilizer Award for Best Mobile Campus Deployment, presented by Mobile Enterprise Magazine. Clemson University implemented a campus-wide deployment of Vettros mobile Service & Repair application for dispatch and inventory management, which also enabled the organization to adopt preventative maintenance processes creating more efficiency and raising the service level of its facilities management organization.

Founded in 1889, Clemson University is one of the countrys top public universities, serving more than 17,000 students, 1,100 full-time teaching faculty members, and 90 technicians. Clemson deployed Vettro 360 applications on mobile devices to help facilities staff better manage the campus environment while improving operational efficiencies. Vettro allows technicians to access detailed customer and repair information, eliminating calls to the helpdesk for assignment information. Technicians minimize time spent on paper-based administrative tasks, including time and expense tracking, enabling them to utilize the majority of their workday on repairs. As a result, Clemson has more than doubled daily ticket resolutions. The use of mobile applications match real-time knowledge of worker location, worker skill sets, mobile inventory and assignment status with the requirements of each assignment to maximize the deployment and productivity of the enterprises field technicians.

We are excited about our Honorable Mention for the Mobilizer Award, which recognizes the results of our implementation of mobile Service & Repair solutions, said Bill Hughes, director of Clemson Facilities Maintenance and Minor Construction. We chose Vettro because its technology easily integrated with our current IT architecture and facilities management processes. As a result, weve quantifiably increased workforce capacity, improved the efficiency of our repair and parts management processes, and enhanced service levels for students and faculty.

The award is presented annually by Mobile Enterprise Magazine at its Executive Summit, which is designed to help executives, directors and managers discover all the ways that a smart mobile implementation can improve their businesses.

Vettro 360 for Service & Repair allows full details of job orders to be delivered directly from the trouble ticketing system to the nearest technician best suited for the job. From the field, technicians send job progress updates as they work, and automatically record associated time and location stamps, improving SLA (service level agreement) audit trails and resource optimization efforts across the entire workforce. Workers can also use plug and play peripheral devices such as barcode scanners to further reduce information capture burden and eliminates errors associated with manual data entry. Vettro 360 enabled field service workforces can leverage narrower service windows, higher rates of first time resolution, and collaboration with all customer-facing staff to deliver a superior customer experience and transform the service organization into a key competitive advantage for the enterprise.

We congratulate Clemson University on this public acknowledgement. Weve known for quite some time that other organizations should emulate Clemsons use of mobility as a strategic part of service initiatives, said Joe Rymsza, president and CEO of Vettro. Managing a geographically dispersed campus and having the foresight to provide computing capabilities for technicians on a mobile device, Clemson deserves to be recognized as a leader and innovator in higher education.
