Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer (Mobile Software Solutions) - Reston, VA
Vettro is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to support all aspects of the sales lifecycle and install base. The applicant will be working with a seasoned sales organization, as well as interfacing with the services and engineering groups within Vettro. The Inside Sales Engineer will be primarily responsible for pre-sales technical support to the Vettro's Inside Sales Team. Based in Reston, VA The applicant will be responsible for managing the technical account aspects of multiple customers in different industries, across different geographic locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a deep functional and technical understanding of Vettro’s software products during sales calls and meetings.
- Develop sales-related documentation such as proposals, statements of work, letters of intent, etc.
- Work closely with Vettro’s services, engineering, and sales organizations to ensure the successful, on time, deployment of software.
- Work with the customer and other vendors to ensure the timely procurement, installation, and configuration of supporting hardware and software.
- Work with the customer and other vendors to ensure a smooth rollout, with appropriate user training, and support and feedback mechanisms.
- Support sales and marketing efforts via the web , eMail and telephone through the delivery of presentations and product demonstrations.
- Maintain customer relationships through dedicated support and upgrade schedules. Help drive adoption of products and services in the field, and work with the customer care organization to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 to 3 years of field or direct pre-sales technical support experience.
- Experience supporting a direct sometimes referred to as telesales or internal sales organization.
- Experience deploying and maintaining web-based and/or client/server enterprise applications.
- Advanced communication and English skills (in both technical writing and conversation) and excellent customer-facing skills.
- Experience with a variety of custom and packaged back-end systems, major ITSM, CRM and SFA systems such as Salesforce, HP ServiceCenter, Remedy, PeopleSoft, Siebel, SAP and Oracle a plus.
- Ability to travel to multiple geographic regions to support sales and customer implementations. Even though this position is primarily focused on an internal sales organization there are times when travel is required. Travel requirement is approximately 15-20%
- Experience with programming JAVA, C, C++, Visual Basic, Web Services, XML, XPATH, Xquery are highly desirable.
- Experience with UNIX operating Systems highly desirable.

Interface Designer/Developer
Vettro is
looking for a skilled application developer to help design
and develop enterprise level wireless applications. The
applicant should have familiarity with interface and usability
design and information architecture, and past experience
with web and database programming languages. Vettro designs
and builds complex applications for mobile devices, so
it is a plus if the applicant has knowledge of wireless
technology and J2ME.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Design application screens
and business flow for wireless applications on J2ME-enabled
devices such as Phone, PDA, and RIM.

Draw storyboards for
wireless enterprise applications across multiple customers
and verticals.

Develop client-side
screens and application business logic for new customer
implementations.

database schemas for constrained-size databases running
on wireless devices.

REQUIREMENTS

Senior
Application Engineer
Vettro is looking for a skilled
resource to help build and integrate enterprise-level wireless
applications. The applicant should have at least 3 years of experience
in information technology, including application design and development,
systems integration, business analysis, project management, and
sales. Vettro designs and builds complex applications for mobile
devices, so it is a plus if the applicant has knowledge of wireless
technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and test, as well as deploy
end-to-end software configurations for a variety of customers.

Communicate application requirements to
customers, and design and develop back-end integration
modules for both custom and packaged back-end systems.

Develop an understanding of multiple back-end
systems and application configurations.

Work with other vendors to coordinate the
timing and logistics of deployments.

Conduct the server-side and client-side
installation and integration testing of the Vettro software
for customers.

This individual will be responsible for the development of structured programs and the strategy, tactics and metrics to bridge Vettro’s v360 enterprise mobility application solutions. Strong communication, problem solving/analytical, teaming skills and results orientation is required. The ability to bring one or more of the key ISV’s into a customer channel pipeline, with executive sponsorship is critical to this role. A working knowledge of the mobility space as well as enterprise sales regarding customer workflows – full life cycle (IT service management, CRM-SFA, Service and Repair, Pickup and Delivery, Facilities Management custom) business development is very important in this role. The ability to bridge programs, carrier initiatives and customer value propositioning to build a predictable, repeatable pipeline model and forecast this pipeline is essential in this capacity. Ability to engage internally and externally with key stakeholders across many disciplines (sales, marketing, product development, services and technical support/training) is very important.
